Good Vibes Sound, Inc. was founded in 1971 and has been designing and installing built-in entertainment systems since 1979. [We are members of PARA (Professional Audio Retailers of America) and CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association), and the East Central Illinois Homebuilders' Association]. Our installation and sales team regularly attend trainings and seminars from provided by our vendors and other industry professionals to keep informed about the constantly changing custom installation/home automation developments and techniques.

The custom installation division of Good Vibes was created in 1990 to meet the increasing demand for built-in home entertainment systems. Since then, we have created and installed thousands of systems. We will take on projects as small as simply installing rear channel speakers with hidden wiring to spectacular structured wire whole-house systems combining theater, distributed audio/video, computer/phone/internet/intercom/surveillance wiring and equipment, central vacuum, and other “smart house” home automation designs. We are confident that we can design a system to meet your specific entertainment needs.

We will work with your contractor, architect, or interior designer, to create a system that is consistent with your home's design and decor. We will provide technical specifications to assist you in choosing or designing custom cabinetry for the audio and video components you are purchasing. And while it is best to address system design before construction plans are finalized, Good Vibes has been involved in numerous existing construction (retrofit) installations. It is never too late to consider a built-in system from Good Vibes.

What we do…
Good Vibes will work with you and your architect/designer/contractor to custom-design and build in entertainment and automation systems in new and existing homes. We did our first built-in multi-room audio system in 1979. Our custom installation team is backed by the most complete set of technical resources available from any store in downstate Illinois. Here is an overview of the type of systems we can offer:

Audio Distribution — install a customized audio entertainment system to serve multiple rooms and areas of your home

Multiple Room Systems let you listen to the same audio program source (CD, satellite radio, or FM, for example) via speakers installed in the walls or ceilings of different rooms in your home. Each room has its own on/off volume control to assure listening comfort.

Multi-zone Systems are multi-room systems with the added capability to have different sources available for the different zones in the system. For example, Zone 1 could be the dining room, living room, and patio. Zone 2 could be the master bedroom and master bath. Zone 1 could be playing an MP3 file, while Zone 2 listeners enjoyed a CD. In-room control would be provided by a wall-mounted keypad, or IR sensor.
