Why We’d Really Rather Pick It Up & Fix It Here

It is our experience that we can do more efficient repairs in-shop, than in-home. For this reason, we generally prefer to come and pick-up your TV, repair it in our shop, test the repair, and redeliver the TV when the repair is complete. In some cases, however, in-home service is our only option.

We will need to know the make and model of your Good Vibes TV, the serial number, and date of purchase. We will also need to know exactly what the TV is or isn’t doing, when it started happening, and what special conditions may have existed coincident with the development of the problem (e.g., Did the TV get bumped into or dropped? Wet? Was there a power surge?) This over-the-phone “diagnosis” will better prepare our technician for his visit to your home.
We will set a time for our technician to visit your home. At this time, you will need to provide us with a valid credit card so we may take the minimum payment for the appointment.

What to expect:
We will arrive at the appointed time, or we will call you.

Our technician will need clear access to your TV, and an uncluttered area around it in which to work. He will diagnose your TV’s problem and, if he has the necessary parts, complete the repair then and there. You will be asked to pay any charges not included in the original deposit: parts used, and incremental labor beyond the first 60 minutes of work (in-home service is billed in 10-minute increments at $80/hour).

Our experience is that most repairs will not be able to be completed on our first visit (this despite our technicians many years’ experience and a service parts inventory of over $50,000). After our tech has returned to our shop and ordered the needed parts, we will call to ask for a second credit card payment. This will cover the minimum cost of the second trip, and the cost of the parts we are ordering.

When the ordered parts have arrived, we will call you to arrange the second visit. If we are able to complete the repair successfully, you will be asked to pay any incremental labor charges not included in the minimum payments.

Our Warranty
Good Vibes will guarantee in-home repairs for a period of 60 days. This guarantee covers the cost of the parts we installed, the labor charged to install them, and 2 trip charges. This guarantee DOES NOT cover the cost of any additional parts that may be needed to successfully complete the repair. Incremental labor to install additional parts, beyond 40 minutes per trip, will be billed at our hourly rate. Finally, if more than two additional trips are required to complete the repair, they will be charged at the same rates as the original repair.

Re-repaired items are guaranteed for an additional 60 days, as above. All service charges and fees are nonrefundable.

Good Vibes offers service pick-up and delivery to allow for in-shop repairs on items that are too large for you to carry in. The charges shown below are in addition to in-shop repair costs.
