The L-400 is a vintage (c 1983) stereo amplifier, part of Luxman's Revolver series. The "Duo-Beta" circuit and DC servo design help deliver tight sound imaging and high fidelity across a wide frequency range: 10Hz–100kHz -1.5dB! The measured 63Wx2 is conservative as the amp has lots of headroom for dynamics. THD and cross-modulation both ≤ 0.02% Tone Control: ±8dB at 100Hz and 10kHz with switchable high and low-cut filters. It has an unusual bass booster of +7dB@100 Hz...useful for bookshelf speakers. The sonic character is typical Luxman: warm, smooth, and neutral. Pairs just fine with vintage or modern loudspeakers.
