The 2.5 is a three-way design: 1" aluminum dome tweeter; a 6.5" polypropylene midrange, and an 8" woofer that is side-firing, which helps to create a spacious, almost 3D soundstage. The 2.5's characteristics are excellent imaging, tonal neutrality, and accurate bass response. Bi-wirable inputs, allow for separate amplification of the woofer and midrange/tweeter.
