The Z-4 is a high-end floorstanding speaker that blends classic British audio engineering with modern acoustic innovation. TheZ Series is Quad’s flagship dynamic speaker line, just below their ESL electrostatics. They use true ribbon tweeters--a composite ribbon sandwich substrate for durability suspended in a strong magnetic field for ultra-high sensitivity with smooth, detailed high frequencies. The midrange & bass drivers: 1 5.9" woven Kevlar midrange driver and 3 6.9" woven Kevlar woofers in a bass-reflex cabinet with rear port and resistive foam expansion chamber for tight, extended bass.
